When I try to "save as" into the Lantiv file, if I use the same name as a previous file and ask it to save over the old file, it keeps the old and adds .schedx a second time to the end of the new file's name. How can I prevent this and just replace the old file? How can I delete files I no longer want?

We will check this. In the meantime, you can delete the old file by selecting it inside the "Save" window and clicking on "Delete" on the keyboard. Then save your file without adding the ".schedx" extension.

I have had the same problem; here is my work-around:
When you click on an existing file in the "Save As" window, its name including extension appears in the name bar. Simply remove the extension in the name bar and the file will save under the correct name and extension.
