I'm having a problem dragging and dropping classes into the schedule. They disappear and do not display the correct information as outlined in the box properties.

Sometimes when I do this, I'll get a LAN TIME error "DBGHELP.dll not Found".

I didn't have this problem with version 7.0.35

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Can you please send us your file? Also specify the activity that you are trying to drag and drop. You can send the file via a private message in this forum or attach it with an email to support@lantiv.com. Thanks.

Sir/Ma'am,

My apologies for the misunderstanding. I've renamed many of the properties...etc. I'll reword my issues using the original labels.

In version 7.0.35, I was able to drag the themes onto a schedule time slot from the activities section. In the new version 7.0.38, as I drag the theme over, it deposits onto the time slot as expected; however no information shows up in the schedule's block, e.g. theme, supervisor, room, equip...etc. In short, the schedule appears blank.

I'm writing this from home, so I'm unable to send you the file I'm using. Once I get to work this morning, I will send you my sched file.

Does the user's file change or is it modified when upgrading to a newer version, e.g. 7.0.35 to 7.0.38?

In order to mitigate the problem, I would like to revert to version 7.0.35 until this is rectified, as I have a course to administrate.

Once last thing; do you have a detailed instruction manual on every aspect of the program? I find that your tutorial only touches on a few of the program's capabilities.

Many thanks

D

In 7.0.38 a subject's schedule was introduced. When you start dragging an activity when the mouse is over the subject name, you will see that the program switches to the subject's schedule. If you start dragging when the mouse is over the group's name, you will be able to drop the activity in the group's schedule. If you drag from any other column, quantity or length, for example, the schedule will remain of the currently selected resource.

In your file the schedule is configured to display only the subject's name and if a room is entered the room's name in the bottom right corner of the cell. In addition, under View, Settings, Options (at the bottom) the option "Hide name in own schedule" is selected. That is why when you drag and drop an activity that has no location into a subject's schedule results in an empty cell. You can either uncheck the option to hide the name in a resource's own schedule or select additional fields like course name or students to be shown. Also, you can assign colors to courses so that the cells will at least have a back color other than white (you can assign random colors by clicking on Resources at the right, selecting the group icon at the top, right clicking on the list and selecting Colors, Assign random colors).

We are in the process of writing a complete user's guide. It will be available soon depicting all the program's features.
